ENGINEERED GREEN ROOF SUBSTRATE

New Substrate
Live Top developed the Live Top Green Roof System, which is lightweight, easy to install and maintain, and incorporates three main components of a green roof – the growing medium, seeds, and fertilizer.
The Live Top Green Roof System is manufactured using a special combination of organic bamboo pulp, bamboo powder, and bamboo fiber, which is added to a biodegradable polymer, and then heated and mixed in centrifuges into a foamy bubble mass. Once it cools down, it is impregnated with seeds and moulded into shape and packaged into rolls or pre-cut sheets. At the final stage, our unique slow-release fertilizer capsules are introduced.

ALL-IN-ONE SOLUTION

LiveTop is a new substrate that incorporates the three main components of a green roof

The growing medium is impregnated with seeds, which reduces the installation time and ensures healthy vegetation growth

The growing medium has a unidirectional pore structure that helps retain water and provides air circulation
Multi-layer granular fertilizer provides nutrients slow measured release minimizing annual maintenance requirements

MORE BENEFITS
Provides a rainwater buffer
The green roof absorbs rainwater into the plants, substrate and drainage layer in buffer water. This prevents rainwater from flowing into the sewer system, purifies the rainwater and also evaporates the water through the plants. All of this contributes to groundwater stabilization, peak sewer loads, and flood risk.
Saves time and money
Unlike planting a green roof with a single shrub, installing a green roof with plants is quick and easy. Moreover, the follow-up maintenance workload is very small. This means you can save time and money!
Creates fire-resistant layer
Vegitation naturally contains a lot of moisture. With a green roof, you create a natural fireproof layer in your home or office.
Elicits more social interaction
Working or living in a green environment brings people together. Green environment can provide higher user experience and convenience. This has a positive effect on the social cohesion of society. Areas with higher levels of greenery are less prone to aggression, violence and vandalism.
Reduces ambient noise
A green roof acts as a sound barrier for your home. It absorbs sound and thus creates a quiet environment both inside and outside of the building.
Reduces the ambient temperature
Plants absorb sunlight, absorb 50% and reflect 30%, so they help create a cool and pleasant climate. For indoor climate, this means the air conditioner does not have to run too much, which in turn means energy saving. This also has an additional positive effect on the climate and temperature of the city near the building. Generally, this means that the temperature in the city drops to 3 ° C.
Purifies the air
Green roof plants filter particles from the air and convert CO2 to oxygen. With a green roof, you will contribute to the purification of the air.
Extends life span of roof
A green roof protects the roofing material from external influences such as the sun, rain, wind and temperature fluctuations and doubles or triples the life span of your roof to up to 60 years or even longer. You will recoup the investment in your green roof within 8 to 21 years.
Increases the feeling of well-being
Living and working in a green environment has a positive impact on people’s well-being. Green plants can relax the body and mind and reduce stress.
Increases biodiversity
Sedum, grass, grass or host plants in the green roof all help create habitats for birds, butterflies, and insects, especially in urban environments that are mainly made of concrete and asphalt.
Offers healing environment
Greening contributes to faster patient recovery, resulting in shorter hospital stays. In a green environment, people are more resistant to pain. This is also called the "recovery environment".
Protects from erosion
The pre-planted wind plants are exposed to the wind of many blankets to ensure that the substrate will not explode in a storm. This gives the green roof a strong, corrosion-resistant top layer.
Adds value to the building
A natural and sustainable appearance means increasing the value of your property while reducing energy consumption and extending the life of the roof.
